On Paradox Junction, the Sundergat isn't some "maybe I'll pull it from the box" kind of weapon. It's a proper project, and it rewards players who can keep a cool head when the map's trying to distract you. If you're still learning the route, warming up in a CoD BO7 Bot Lobby can help you lock in the bench location and the timeline flow before you risk a real run.

Start with the base Blundergat
You can't skip the boring bit. First you've got to craft the Blundergat, and that means collecting the four parts hidden around Paradox Junction. Once you've got them, build it at the Cul-de-Sac Workbench—the grubby wooden bench with the metal vise that most people jog past a dozen times. If the gun isn't built, the rest of the quest might as well not exist. So don't waste rounds "checking" the bench or farming points hoping it'll magically unlock; it won't. Build the Blundergat, buy yourself some breathing room, then get ready to babysit some very specific zombies.

Blue-flame tornado zombies and the bench kill
After rounds start rolling, you'll notice the blue-flame fire tornado zombies showing up, usually right after a round flips. They're loud too—more crackle than groan—and the swirling blue vortex gives them away. This is where most squads choke it, because someone panics and deletes one across the map. Don't. You need to lead them back to the Cul-de-Sac Workbench and kill two of them right next to it with the Blundergat. "Near" is picky. If you down them a few steps off, it often won't count, and then you're stuck waiting for the next spawn cycle while the rounds get uglier.

Trigger the Mimic, then play the timelines
After the second blue-flame kill by the bench, a Tortured Mimic will spawn in and it's not made of paper. Keep moving, keep your distance, and finish it at the workbench area as well. Once that's done, the map's timeline gimmick becomes the key: Paradox Junction swaps between the clean Past Nuketown and the wrecked Present version. Get into the Past (wait for the shift, or pay for the golden portal if you're impatient), find the workbench there, and melee it to prompt the interaction. Set the gun down, then hop back to the Present. If you did it clean, the upgrade should be waiting for you when you return.

Little things that ruin runs
Rad-Hounds are the sneaky problem while you're doing all this. Their radioactive cloud can cut off your route and force you to kill the blue-flame zombie in the wrong spot, which is basically a wasted round. In co-op, call everything out—who's training, who's tagging the tornado zombie, who's clearing adds—because one stray kill at the wrong time resets the vibe fast. If you're short on essence, ammo, or you just want to smooth out the prep for repeated attempts, a lot of players top up through U4gm so they can focus on the timing instead of scraping resources mid-quest.
